3º Workshop Labic Novale

From October 24 to 27, 2024, an innovation-driven civic event took place at the Civic Innovation Lab in Jaraguá do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

In the months leading up to the event, I worked remotely alongside the organising team to develop the event’s visual identity. It was a long-term collaboration that involved months of close work, refinement, and collective effort to achieve the final result.

During the days of the event, I joined one of the selected project teams as a graphic designer, taking part in an intensive journey of civic innovation. The event brought together talks, open discussions, and hands-on ideation and prototyping sessions — all free and open to the community.

The main purpose was to imagine and develop solutions that make cities safer, more inclusive, and truly people-centred. Contributing visually to this process was both inspiring and rewarding, reinforcing the role of design as a powerful tool for social impact and meaningful change.

What was the goal?

To clearly inform local communities and international networks connected to the lab about how the event would work — presenting the workshop and talk schedule, explaining activities, and guiding participants through project submissions and engagement.
